Quality Mark campaign Phase 2
Look for the Quality Mark
Choose with confidence when you see the Quality Mark
Choosing a healthcare practitioner is an important decision. But it’s not always easy. Not all healthcare practitioners are regulated by law. This means that some will be able to practise without any checks on their qualifications or whether they are competent and trustworthy.
What are Accredited Registers?
Accredited Registers are lists of healthcare practitioners who choose to be on a register that meets standards set by us, including education and training, complaints handling and business practices.
What is the Quality Mark?
Practitioners on Accredited Registers can display the Quality Mark to let you know that they are committed to high standards of care and practice.
When you see the Quality Mark, you can be confident that the practitioner is appropriately trained, handles complaints professionally and follows good practice in running their business.
You’ll often see the Quality Mark on a practitioner’s website, in their workspace, or on their promotional materials.
Check a Practitioner online
Follow these simple steps to check if a practitioner is on an Accredited Register.
Step 1: Go to the Check Practitioners page.
Step 2: From the menu, select the type of practitioner you want to check. For example, this could be ‘counsellor’, ‘sonographer’ or ‘cosmetic practitioner’.
Step 3: Find your practitioner. There may be more than one Accredited Register relevant to your search. Simply pick one and click on the link to find practitioners in your area.
