CBT Register UK

The CBT Register is a joint national register of all AREBT and BABCP accredited members

BABCP is the lead organisation for CBT in the UK - it registers Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners and Education Mental Health Practitioners, and accredited CBT therapists. 

The Association of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (AREBT) was established in 1993 and is a professional body for practitioners of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy.   As a professional membership body, AREBT aims to promote high standards of practice and conduct amongst our members.  Our accredited members are listed on The CBT Register: a joint national register of all AREBT and BABCP accredited members.

CBT Register Accreditation status

Every three years, we undertake a full assessment of Accredited Registers against our Standards. We renewed our accreditation of the CBT Register in September 2026 without Conditions. You can read our report below.

CBT Register Condition Status

There are no Conditions on the CBT Register's accreditation.

CBT Register Targeted Review Status

At the current time we have not identified the need for a Targeted Review.

CBT Register Notification of Change status

The CBT Register has not told us about any changes that might affect its accreditation.
