Response to the General Optical Council's consultation on regulation of optical businesses

We welcomed the opportunity to comment on the General Optical Council’s (GOC’s) consultation on regulation of optical businesses. We are pleased to see the GOC taking a proactive approach to preparing for the possibility of regulatory reform. 

The extensive thinking and consultation that the GOC has already undertaken in relation to its future powers will mean it is well placed to move forward with reform, should the opportunity arise.
