The Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions (ACC) is a professional body and registered charity representing Christian counsellors and psychotherapists in the United Kingdom.
(The ACC changed its name in October 2022 from the Association of Christian Counsellors to the Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions.)
We completed our full renewal assessment (available to download below) of the Association of Christians in Counselling and Linked Professions in June 2024, at which time, the Accreditation Panel decided to renew the ACC’s accreditation subject to the below conditions. We will update the status of these conditions in due course.
Conditions - Standard Two
- The ACC must review their Appeals Process in relation to registration decisions to ensure that it covers all grounds for appeal.
- The ACC must publish clear information to distinguish the difference between the directory and the accredited register.
Deadline - January 2025
Conditions - Standard Five
- The ACC must update policy C1 to include direction regarding EDI training for the Disciplinary Panel should it be necessary.

Conditions - Standard Seven
- The ACC must publish a clear description of the limitations and benefits of treatment offered by registrants.
