What has the Authority been working on during the year?

We have published our annual report - it details our actions and activities during 2021/22 for our three main areas of work:

  1. The oversight of the 10 health/care professional regulators - including checking final fitness to practise decisions and taking action where we believe decisions are not sufficient to protect the public and reviewing regulators' performance and how they are meeting our Standards of Good Regulation.
  2. Accrediting registers of health and care professionals held by non-statutory bodies.
  3. Helping to improve regulation by providing advice to the UK government and others, conducting/commissioning research and promoting the principles of right-touch regulation.
