What was the consultation about?
This consultation was about adding a new Standard on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) to our current Standards for Accredited Registers. Read through the full consultation to find out more. It is available in English and Welsh.
Why were we you consulting?
Our EDI action plan commits us to doing more to promote equality. Inequality in health and social care continues to be a concern for many. You can find out more about this topic in the first chapter of our recently published report Safer care for all: solutions from professional regulation and beyond. The first chapter looks at Tackling inequalities. We think that adding a dedicated EDI Standard for Accredited Registers will help to drive improvement.
