Mark Stobbs has announced that he will be retiring from his post as Director of Scrutiny and Quality on 31 March 2023. The Authority has appointed Graham Mockler, the current Assistant Director of Scrutiny and Quality, to the role, which has been renamed as Director of Regulation and Accreditation.
Mark said:
“I have hugely enjoyed my almost seven years at the Authority, working with really supportive, committed and able colleagues. The work has been among the most interesting and important in my career. However, I have reached a stage in my life when I want to explore other activities which aren’t compatible with a full-time role and decided that now is the time to move on. I hope that I will be able to provide a smooth handover for my successor.”
Alan Clamp, the Authority's Chief Executive, said:
“Mark has done an excellent job as the Director of Scrutiny and Quality. His wisdom, experience and very good judgement have been invaluable. As a senior leader at the Authority, Mark has also made a major contribution to the success of the organisation as a whole. We will miss him and wish him every success in his future endeavours.”
