About the Professional Standards Authority

We are the oversight body for regulators in the Health and Social Care sector. We promote the health, safety and wellbeing of patients, service users and the public by raising standards of regulation and registration of people working in health and care. We are a small, independent body, accountable to the UK Parliament.

Our team all come from different backgrounds, but we all share one purpose - we want safer care for all. We are friendly and helpful. There are just over 40 of us. We work from home and in the office with about 10-20 of us in each day.

Our office is light and airy and is usually calm and quiet. We are on the third floor and there is a lift and space for bike storage. We dress casually so no need for special clothes or styles to work with us, just come as you are, and we will welcome you. 

About the role

We are looking to recruit up to three enthusiastic individuals who are keen to gain experience in a variety of areas including, human resources, finance, IT, legal, and communications.

Each of the three weeks will be spent in a different team offering a range of experiences.

Most of our work is computer based and we don’t have members of the public visiting our offices.

About you

There are no requirements for this role. We are looking to find individuals who have enthusiasm, drive and an interest in the areas we work in and who share our values of respect, fairness and teamwork. You must be at least 18 years old.
