General Dental Council

Fee levels

The GDC is consulting on its proposed policy for setting fees, as outlined in Shifting the balance. The consultation closes on 15 May 2018. You can find out more about the consultation, including how to respond from the GDC’s website. 

Education processes

The GDC is also consulting on the way it quality assures education and training. The deadline for responses is 23 May 2018 and more information is available from the Consultations’ page on the GDC’s website. 

General Osteopathic Council

Changes to the quality assurance of osteopathic education

You just have time to respond to the GOsC’s consultation on proposals for a number of policy changes in relation to the quality assurance of osteopathic education as the deadline was 3 May 2018.

Investigating Committee decision-making guidance

The GOsC is also consulting on draft guidance for the Investigating Committee intended to ensure that its decision-making process is easier to understand and more transparent. The deadline for responses was 14 May 2018.

Draft new CPD and Peer Discussion review guidance

The GOsC is also seeking views on this draft guidance. The deadline for responses is also 14 May 2018 and you can find out more from the GOsC’s website.

General Pharmaceutical Council

Consultation seeking views on education and training of pharmacist independent prescribers

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is consulting until 6 June 2018 on standards for the initial education and training of pharmacist independent prescribers. More details about the consultation can be found on the GPhC’s website.

Nursing and Midwifery Council

Ensuring patient safety, enabling professionalism

The NMC is running a public consultation on changes to its fitness to practise function. The deadline for responding is 30 May 2018 (by 12pm).

Nursing Associate role

The NMC is also asking for views on its proposals for how the new nursing associate role will be regulated. The consultation will run until 2 July 2018. The NMC welcomes responses from anyone interested, including organisations and individuals. They have also created a  a separate survey for members of the public.
